HI I’m new

HI I am new to this group. I actually just found this diet today.
I was wondering what people thought of it and if they were ever left
famished and craving what the diet says to leave out. I have a big
sweet tooth…!! ~Kellie~

i have been on the SBD for almost 3 weeks now. my hubby and i both
started it together, which makes adhering to it easier since we plan
our meals together. he lost 13 pounds in 2 weeks, i did not get
weighed, as i can become a slave to the scale, but can tell i have
lost at least 10 as i have gone down a size already. he has moved up
3 notches on his belt already.
we are both feeling great, and just like the book says - we have no
craving for the starches, sweets we are not eating. in phase 1 we did
not sway from what was prescribed one bit. in phase 2 we are not
eating anything that is not on the list. we love the roll-up
sandwiches, and are eating nuts as snacks. i am glad that we can
incorporate some fruits back into our plan as this was something
healthy that we missed.
in the past, many times i would skip breakfast and even lunch, and
then pretty much eat sweets and junk food the rest of the day. at
times i wasnt even hungry for dinner on these occasions. i now make
sure i am eating my 3 meals a day, and 2 snacks, plus dessert. also
drinking lots of water. feeling great and energized.

Day 1

Hi everyone-
I just started SBD today and so far so good. I have doen WW since
January and have lost 21+ lbs. I would like to take off 10 more. WW
is great, slow, but great. My biggest problem with it was i was
eating WAY too many carbs - 1 pt buns, 1pt english muffins, FF
pringles, WOW chips, etc. So i’m looking forward to maybe a good 1st
2 week loss and then hopefully steady from there. Good Luck to
everyone…i’ll check back regularly.

Figured I would try this group. Started the South Beach Diet last
Friday, have lost five pounds so far….have fifteen more to go to
reach my goal weight. A little about me, I am 31 and live about
twenty minutes outside of Charlotte, NC. Thats about it!

I just joined your group today. Started SBD on May 14, lost 11 # so
far, have 9 1/2 # to goal. Hope to meet everyone soon. Seems like a
nice small group. Anyone here bake their own bread?

Hello!
I am new here. I belong to other SBD groups but they are sooo
active it’s hard to really get to know people and they repeat the
same topics over and over again.
My name is Tam and I am 33. I have about 30 lbs to lose. I’ve been
on WW’s for the past year and haven’t lost a single pound. I
workout 5-6 days a week doing cardio and have a personal trainer
twice a week. My mom and girlfriend are on this diet and are having
a huge success so I thought I’d give it a try. I am on day 4 of the
SBD and things are going okay. Today the cravings are terrible. I
want everything that I can’t have even if I don’t like the food.
So, I’ve been sleep a lot today and that’s has helped with the
cravings. As of this morning I haven’t lost a ounce and my body fat
has increased by 1.3%. I am not happy with the increase of bf but I
am willing to give the diet a full 2 week try. I am following the
book rather closely and everything that I’ve eaten and made from the
book has been rather well. I just spend so much time in the kitchen.
Well, that’s it for now. Hope everyone is losing big time and I am
looking forward to hearing more from you all.

I hate feeling like I’m talking to myself!
Also, my messages seem to take a day to actually post to the
group…it is now 7:46am (PDST)…lets see when it shows up.
If anyone wants to chat about the diet or needs some encouragement,
email me!
I’m on Day 9 of Phase 1 and have been doing great! I’m down about 10
pounds so far, and have pretty muck kicked my Pepsi/caffeiene habit.
I’ve been following the meal plans pretty closely. It seems like all
I do is prepare food, but it’s worth the time invested, cause I
really need this program to work.
