New To Group

Hi there. I am considering starting the SBD. I plan to pick up the
book this weekend. I was wondering if I could get some feedback
(positive & negative) about this plan. I have tried everything else
without success. I would like to lose about 25 lbs. by Memorial
Day. Is this realistic? How difficult is this plan to learn and
apply to everyday life? I am a busy working mom of 2, constantly on
the go. I am hoping that this plan will work for me.

Starting Phase I with limited selections

Hi Everyone!
I’ve started phase 1 after purchasing the book months ago. I really
would love suggestions from anyone regarding food selections. I’m a
really picky eater and don’t eat pork or beef, so I feel like the
pickings are slim.
Any suggestions, recommendations or words of encouragement regarding
ideas to make chicken, fish and turkey exciting! Thanks for your
advice.

I just hit the 20 pound loss mark this morning. Last week I had not
lost any, to day I was 4 pounds lower. It’s been slow for me. But
in amother 5 weeks we’ll see how it goes. Just hang in there

I made a list in word. I always forget something in the grocery store and I found it was a lot to by for the diet. I modified a grocery list I found on the web. I chose to use a different color 4 the SB items. If it’s allowed (Moderator) I will post it.

Keep Track

I have an excel file that keeps track of my daily intake if anyone
would like a copy I am happy to share.
If you lost in the 1st week but not in the 2nd keeping track will
let you know the difference in intake and exercise. It may be
helpful to know what was different and make some changes to promote
sucess.
I lost 13 lbs the first two weeks in August and have kept if off so
now I am back to phase 1 to loose again.

Protein Bars

I like to work out and lift weights three times a week. Does anyone
know of good recipes for home made protein bars that are low in
sugar?

Hi all, I am new to the group. I have started SBD on Jan 12th and lost
4lbs in the first 4 days, I was psyched!… but since then, nothing!
It’s been 5 days without losing any weight at all.
I was wondering if any of you guys had experienced this in the
beginning and if there were hope for me! I am following the plan
without cheating ( well this one time I might have overdone the
pistachios a little bit but thats pretty much it).
The book keeps saying one should lose 8 -13 lbs in phase one… I have
4 days left and I dont think its going to happen.

Hi I am new to the South Beach Diet and new to the group as well. My
name is victoria and I love the diet so far. I have enjoyed all of
the food and as of today have lost 4 pounds. There is actually so
much food I don’t know how but the scales show me lighter. Yeah me.
