Just joined your group today. We love cooking and as happens I have
put on some pounds since my back injury. My limited activities now
are much to blame. I do have water therapy twice a week which helps
a little. Before my injury I was very active traveling 75% of the
time to Asia and Europe, working 80 hours average a week. Now I am
very inactive and have put on about 35#. I am in a size 12 and have
a closet full of size 8’s. I feel so sluggis at 165# and only 5′5″
at 60 y/o.
I tried Atkins and gained weight - 6# in 2 weeks. I think it is that
I normally don’t eat much meat, eat a lot of veggies.
I know carbs are a problem as we eat pasta, rice, or potatoes almost
every day.
I am hoping this South Beach Diet will be the right one for me.
I did do WW and lost 30#, but have put back on some of it again.
