a bit discouraged today
Hi all, I am new to the group. I have started SBD on Jan 12th and lost
4lbs in the first 4 days, I was psyched!… but since then, nothing!
It’s been 5 days without losing any weight at all.
I was wondering if any of you guys had experienced this in the
beginning and if there were hope for me! I am following the plan
without cheating ( well this one time I might have overdone the
pistachios a little bit but thats pretty much it).
The book keeps saying one should lose 8 -13 lbs in phase one… I have
4 days left and I dont think its going to happen.
Thanks!

I have the same problem. I lost about 5 lbs the first week but I’ve
lost nothing the second week. I’m discouraged because the book says
you shouldn’t be hungry - but I am!!! I’m starved most of the time
and end up grazing on nuts and string cheese. This is probably the
reason that I’m not losing. I find the snacks to be not enough food
(1 celery stick, 1 string cheese) and it just doesn’t do it for me.
I got around my dislike for eggs by eating the deviled egg for
breakfast with a couple stips of lean bacon (my grocery store deli
has been out of canadian bacon for two weeks straight now - is there
a big demand for canadian bacon leading to shortages that I don’t
know about LOL!!)
Anyhow, anyone been there, done that have any suggestions for
me???? I’m 2 weeks into Phase 1 and need a little encouragement
before I get in the car and drive to Dunkin Donuts and really,
really pig out!!! I’m sooooooo close to that its pitiful!!!
Thanks for the vent time! You guys are so great!

Mary Ann,
I am in my second week of the diet and looking forward to starting Phase 2 on
Super Bowl Sunday. So far, I have only lost 4 lbs. I have not been hungry,
but have eaten plenty at each meal. I haven’t stuck with the menu in the book
or the small quantities (except those things that are limited).
One thing that I believe has helped me not to be hungry is that I have been
cooking plenty of beans to eat with dinner. They seem to fill you up and
stick with you.
Hope this helps. Hang in there!
