Exercise
How is everyone doing with exercise? I am on a pretty strict
regimen of weights 4 days a week and cardio 5 days a week, at least
until my son was born two weeks ago (ty, ty). I will be back up to
that schedule soon, right now I am about 3 and 3. I have noticed
that my weight changes very little now, like a pound or two every
couple of weeks to a month. I was wondering if anyone knows enough
about muscle physiology to be able to tell me if my muscle gain is
catching up with my fat loss, which is why the weight loss seems so
slow. Also is there a way to estimate how much fat I have lost? So
I know what part of my weight now is muscle, and what is fat. I
have a scale that measures body fat percentage, but I am not so sure
I trust it since it seems to vary by as much as 4% from day to day,
depending upon my hydration. I have noticed that is has gone down
to about 20-23% from the 30-34% where I started…but that is an
estimate only. I am not sure exactly where I started.
thanks for your input…:-)

Hey there,
I’m totally new to this group (but not to the South Beach Diet).
I’m curious what everyone does for exercise. The reason I’m asking is
a little wierd…
I have had a lot of trouble keeping on an exercise routine.I’m pretty
good about eating, but the exercise thing kills me. I picked up this
book recently that’s all about exercising, but it’s a little out-of-
the ordinary. Basically, this girl wrote a book about exercising
while you’re doing “it” (I bought it off the website www.lovediet.com
after I read about it in the New York Post) Like you can burn 350
calories in 30 minutes while you’re having sex (which is the same as
jogging, and I hate jogging).
So, that’s what I’m doing for exercise. Wondering what everyone else
does (If any of you come up with anything more interesting, I’ll
switch plans:) hehe
