Hi All!
I am Mary and I am 42 at 170 at the beginning of my diet (this last
Monday) and I am 5′4″. I always look and feel my best at about 140
so I am looking at about 30 lbs I need to loose.
So far with 5 days behind me now I am starting to feel better.
Monday was great, lots of energy and feeling fine… after that it
was downhill! I felt very sick and actually blacked out at work one
day. Stuck with it though and am thinking I am back on track with
feeling more like myself, although still a bit tired.
I tried the Atkins a couple of times but hated the idea of no
fruits.. and so many other things! I also tried the low fat, better
for me but I didn’t see myself in a really structured situation. I
am hoping that this diet will be a great balance between the two.
I have to admit that I feel much better without the bad carb overload
that I tend to get! The bloated feeling and tiredness.. no more of
that! I do admit that sometimes I feel like I would trade that for a
big slice of cake!!!
I am in Florida, in a relationship (he has started the diet with
me!!) and I am a server at.. of all places.. Cracker Barrel
Restaurant! Ohhhhh how bad my days can be sometimes with the smell
of those biscuits!! Not too bad though becasue I am generally too
busy to even think of eating.. thank goodness!
I have a tough time cooking, with time limits and budget.. any ideas
would be appreaciated.. Made chili the other day and it was GREAT!
I like salads and chicken but not on a regular basis.. I would love
to grill some ribs tomorrow but am not so sure that we can have
them?? Anyone know??
Ok, enough here. Thanks for letting me be a part of this group and I
hope to be a positive part of it!
BTW… I have gone from 170 to 168 now in 5 days. I know it most
likely water but hey.. at this point anything is good with me!
Peace!

Hi everyone. I am on Day 11 and it’s going great! I am absolutely
motivated but feeling a little bored with food choices as I finish out
Phase One and am also quite frankly a little nervous to reintroduce
carbs next week.
Looking forward to sharing ideas, woes, etc.

Hi everyone,
I’m Gina and I’m brand new to this site. I did SB a few months ago,
lost 9.5 lbs and then stopped doing it. Not sure why, just went crazy
on Phase 2 and gave up….I’m back now though and want to do really
great which is why I joined this group. I believe the support is
necessary for success.
I’ve tried BFL and weight watchers and while they both worked great,
I like the immediate results/feeling of SB. I’m also injured (broken
foot) so exercise is extremely minimal for me. I do workout with
weights but only for my upper body for the next 6-8 weeks.
Would anyone be interested in posting their daily menus? I belong to
a BFL group and it seems to really work great to alleviate boredom.
Its also great because others can look at the menu and give you advice
on where one might be going wrong. Just a suggestion!
I’m ‘officially’ starting late today because its 10am and I haven’t
eaten yet. That is my biggest downfall-forgetting to eat. I notice
when I don’t eat, the scale stays the same or goes up, but once I get
going with the eating every 2 hours, the pounds come off rather quickly.
Ok, sorry so long! I look forward to meeting everyone!

Folks,
This list is really helpful for sharing menus, encouragement,
clarifications. Please please please do NOT use it for things like a
response of “me too” or “way to go!” Those messages should go directly to
a particular person (if you don’t know how to access a particular
individual’s email, someone can help you do this) and not to the whole
list–many of us receive dozens of emails every day, and these unnecessary
ones clog our mailboxes and make for unnecessary messages to open and
delete. Many thanks for your awareness of this issue.

Hey everyone! I’m new to the group also. I started SB yesterday.
So far I’m ok. I’m kinda hungry now, so i guess I’m going to have
some celery with peanut butter. lol I hope this works, I’ve been on
so many diets. If this doesn’t work, I heard good things about FIT
FOR LIFE, but I’m going to give this a shot first. I haven’t read
about phase II yet so I dont know what to expect after this first
two weeks. Hopefully its not too bad. This is what I ate today.
Hopefully it wasn’t bad.
Breakfast: Celery (and carrots-I know that isn’t good) w/ some
peanut butter
Lunch: Fish w/ steamed broccoli and string beans and half of a baked
potato(I know that is bad also!)
Snack: Part Skim mozzarella stick
Dinner: ground beef salad (its the taco salad at taco bell without
the shell) and sugar free jell-o.
Plus water water and more water. Hopefully I’m doing ok, but I
know that i’m not being as strict as I should. but i’m hungry!!
arghh!!
