Snacks

FYI - I found this comment from Dr. Agatston on snacks.
I found this at http://www.mizfrogspad.com/South_Beach_Diet/Chat_03-

Member Question: How important are snacks? If you are eating the
proper foods for your Phase and are full at each meal, do you need to
have the snacks to promote weight loss or is it to avoid hunger?
Dr. Agatston: Snacks are important in Phase 1 to prevent hypoglycemia
and cravings. Once there is a weight loss and the disappearance of
cravings, then the snacks are not mandatory. Often early in Phase 2
it is advisable to continue snacks, particularly if you have a
history of midmorning, midafternoon, or evening cravings. Once you
are confident that these have disappeared, you can eliminate snacks
one at a time and monitor your response.

Does anyone have some good ideas for snacks? I am on stage 1 going
into stage 2 and wanted to have some sort of variety in my snacks for
    work.
    Thanks

I’m a big fan of nuts if you are not allergic. Peanuts in the shell
are great because you can’t eat them too fast, and who knows how many
calories you burn getting those shells off!
