Egg allergy question

I’m going to be starting the South Beach Diet soon. I have a couple of
questions. I am allergic to eggs and that plays such a big part of the
breakfast. I cannot even eat the egg white products out there on the
market. Does anyone have some good ideas for breakfast that would work
and be filling, especially for Phase 1??
Also, has anyone ever done this diet and been nursing a baby? I would
assume that I would just need to increase some good snacks a bit since
this diet doesn’t count calories. Any helpful hints with this?
thanks!

    Hi there!
I’m Adriana, new here, but not new to the SBD. With SBD and exercise I
lost about 15 pounds in about two months last year, but then became
lazy, started to eat like a pig again, and now I have to loose
everything again. I just finished phase 1 and Ialready can see the
    difference in my clothes.
Now to the question - I’m not allergic to eggs but I’m not a big fan
of them either, so usually for breakfast I have one of these things or
some of them combined: a couple of slices of turkey bacon (I microwave
them in one of those microwavable bacon racks - the bacon gets really
crunchy, I love it); a cup of decaff coffe with Splenda; a can of
vegetable juice; reduced-fat cheese, wich I melt in the broiler; a cup
of fat-free plain yogurt with sliced roasted almonds on it, another
thing that I love (even for a snack); a whole tomato… It all depends
    of my mood.
About breastfeeding, let me tell you… I breastfed my son and I never
lost weight as quickly as I did when I was nursing. Don’t diet while
you are nursing - if you diet, you are going to take a big risk of
affecting your milk supply. You have time to diet after you are done
with the breastfeeding, but you can nurse you baby just one in your
lifetime. Right now, stick with healthy, fresh foods, as much as you
can. Eat lots of vegetables (crotoutes - how do you spell this? ;-) )
make a great snak; low-fat cheese, yogurt, milk, lean meats, beans,
whole grains. If you eat healthy and sensibily, I garantee you are
going to loose weight, specially if you are exclusively breastfeeding.
Try not to “pig out”, but eat something healthy when you feel hungry,
and you are going to loose weight. I’m from Brazil (which explains my
broken English) and we breastfeed our babies in Brazil for at least 1
year (even more, usually). Brazilians are extremely worried about
their looks, and the trick new moms there have to go back into shape
is to breastfeed as much as possible. That way, baby, mom, and for
consequence, dad, since mom is hot again, :-), are happy. Everybody
    wins!!!
Let me know if I can help you in any way, ok?
Take care and good luck, and enjoy your beautiful baby. They grow up
    really fast!
    Adriana
