Daniel

Hi Daniel,
I’m no expert, but that does make sense to me. I would eat more if I didn’t have
the energy to exercise! Usually I walk 4 miles each morning and then alternate
lower body, upper body weights and/or Pilates every other day.
This diet gives me energy. But I don’t feel restricted. Maybe I got it wrong,
but I
eat as much lean chicken breast as I feel like for supper. That’s the meal when
I’d be too hungry otherwise. I’ve never weighed or limited the lean white
protein meat or green salad. Just the cheese and nut parts.

Suzan

From: “Daniel Ashworth, Jr.” Subject: Low energy in workouts…
To piggyback on my first message, I have been
experiencing low energy in my workouts the last few
weeks. I have been told by a fitness expert that I
may consider dropping the South Beach Diet because it
may be limiting the caloric intake necessary for
energy levels and muscle development.
I was told I needed to eat more protein and more
whole grain carbs.
Any advice on this?
Thanks,
Daniel

ISO snack bar recipes

Wednesday, January 25th, 2006

Does anyone have any recipes for snack bars (like granola bars) that
you can make from scratch that fit the diet? All of the recipes that I
have don’t fit the diet because they call for corn syrup or some other
heavy sugar. I’m looking for an easy on-the-go snack to trade out with
nuts. I don’t have access to a fridge during the day and need somethign
I can keep in my purse.
Good luck to everyone!!

menus

Saturday, January 14th, 2006

I need inexpensive, easy meals. I have to cook for 5, and refuse to spend too long in the kitchen.. especially since I have a 2 1/2 month old. Any ideas?

Also, I have lots of ground beef, so something good with that would be helpful.

I’m Carri

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

Hello everyone! My name is Carri. I am 28 year’s old and have two
young boys. Recently, like, 2 1/2 years ago my life changed forever.
I was hooked on meth and couldn’t give it up. CPS came and
thankfully took my boys. I needed a wake up call. I quit and have
been clean since. I have my children back and the case has been
closed for 1 1/2 years now. Now my addiction is food. I know this. I
know that I CAN overcome this too!I now weigh 250 pounds. I need to
get healthy for me let alone the kids I worked so hard to keep. I
want to teach them how to ride bi8kes without training hwheels and
run with them. I have NO EXCUSES anymore as to why I can not do
this. I need support and a direction to follow. I have tried atkins
and found I was too limited and low fat can be gross at times. So I
was hopeing to jump on the south beach wagon. Can someone tell me a
little bit about the diet and how it works? I have a friend who was
on it for 9 weeks and lost 30 pounds. Also, here’s the big one! I am
getting married on August 7th 2005. I already bought my dress. It’s
a size 20 and fits ok. I can zip it up and breath but i would like
to go down in size. I want to be able to wear my hair up rather than
down to hide my double chin from side photos. I need some buddies.
Any takers? LOL! Sorry for rambleing and I hope I did not offend
anyone or scare you all away.
