Daniel

Hi Daniel,
I’m no expert, but that does make sense to me. I would eat more if I didn’t have
the energy to exercise! Usually I walk 4 miles each morning and then alternate
lower body, upper body weights and/or Pilates every other day.
This diet gives me energy. But I don’t feel restricted. Maybe I got it wrong,
but I
eat as much lean chicken breast as I feel like for supper. That’s the meal when
I’d be too hungry otherwise. I’ve never weighed or limited the lean white
protein meat or green salad. Just the cheese and nut parts.

From: “Daniel Ashworth, Jr.” Subject: Low energy in workouts…
To piggyback on my first message, I have been
experiencing low energy in my workouts the last few
weeks. I have been told by a fitness expert that I
may consider dropping the South Beach Diet because it
may be limiting the caloric intake necessary for
energy levels and muscle development.
I was told I needed to eat more protein and more
whole grain carbs.
Any advice on this?
Thanks,
Daniel
