Hi, new member here from NY
Hi, I thought I would introduce myself.
I am 50 lbs overweight but have already lost about 50. I was on my
own version of the Atkins Diet after reading the most recent of his
books which came out a few years ago. I did lose weight, but can no
longer stick to the ridgid intake of carbs. I tried to stay with it
but it is impossible to avoid carbohydrates at all costs which
Atkins pretty much requires despite the fact that devotees will
say “you can have carbs”. You CAN have carbs, but very few grams of
carbs. Even as you move up the hierarchy. When you come to discover
how many carbs different foods have, even a slice of bread, and then
look at the amount of carbs “you are allowed”, it is pretty
impossible to eat that way and still be around food.
I investigated the South Beach Diet, read the book and so am
venturing into unknown waters. The more I can learn about the South
Beach Diet, the better.
I need and want to take off this final 50 lbs.
Thanks for listening! ![]()
