Chantelle-
That is what started this conversation. She is about 10 pounds or so lighter than me if I remember right but her size is near my goal. Our height is the same. I thought that was odd. I wear a 22 and she wears a 14.

Just for your information maybe it will help you. I have about 100 pounds to lose. My goal is in 20 pound increments. I don't worry about any more than the current 20 pounds. I just work on doing what I need to do for that 20 and then I get a reward. Maybe with only 40 lbs to go you could have a reward every 10 lbs.

I haven't seen sizes you mentions since Jr. High and I was not overweight.

Pam W.

are you both the same height?
I have no idea what either of you weighs, but I'm in that 14-16 size category. I have a lot to lose though. When I was the "right" weight (60 plus pounds less than now), but I don't have sixty pounds to lose....I often wore a size 9 or 10 but sometimes bigger depending on what it was. Main size I wore was probably 9, but those were often tight.
I doubt I'll ever wear any of those clothes again, but I would be so thrilled to lose 20-30 pounds and that would be fantastic and in the end would like to get down 40 pounds from this weight.
Just ten would be inspiring to me though....

Now I sorta wonder about my own body type if you can wear a size 16. I wear about a 22. I can wear one dress that is a size 18. I was amazed. I have 5 kids so most of my size is in my stomach. I can wear size 20 pants except right around the hip /lower stomach area.

I do cardio and pilates. I couldn't do pilates for 2 hours either. I am going to change my routine once school starts but I don't know exactly what I will do. I am planning to add weights and pilates to my cardio. I will probabley do Bob Greens 12 week body makeover. It looks good to me.

My doctor said two pounds a week was about the maximum that the body would sustain. I will just see what happens.

good to hear from you.
Pam

Hello Pam,

Wow, I hope I can lose that much a week. You lose a lot since April, I am happy for you. Most of my weight is in my stomach.

I don't think i can do pilates for 2 hrs. when i work out in the gym i do my weights (i take my time ) then i do cardio and before you know it its 2hours lol .

I haven't set a goal weight yet, but 20pds at a time sounds good to me. My lowest was a 14 also right now i wear a size 16 but some days i can fit my size 14 the goal size is 9/10, cause if i lose 5 pds a week in a month i will reach 14 with out having to squeeze into my clothes lol

Well good luck hope to hear from you soon
