Hi Carri
That’s wonderful that you got off such an addictive drug. My friend’s daughter
is hooked on it.
I think you will find the SBD easier! Truly. Once you stop eating sugar and
carbs and eat a good amount of lean protein instead, you just don’t get hungry.
You feel stable and centered and energetic all day. Sugar is so addictive. I can
2 weeks with none, and then I’ll splurge one night, and guess what? It’s usually
like a 3 day binge til I get it back under control. But 24 hours without and I
don’t want it.
Breakfast - 1/2 cup cottage cheese
Lunch - Egg beaters w Canadian bacon and a tomato
Snack - cheese, lean meat with lettuce wrap
Dinner - lean meat (usually chicken) - as much as I want, a big mixed salad with
olive oil, grilled veggies like zucchini and mushrooms.
Snack - I make something similar to the ricotta creme using a dairy product I
tolerate better and which is lower in fat (it’s called dry curd cottage cheese
or pressed cottage cheese or sometimes farmer’s cheese)
Sometimes I add some almonds or a spoon of almond butter. Occasionally I have
small portions of fruit such as blueberries, clementines.
Hope this helps,
Suzan
Carri Rae Kontrovich
boys and I just got married on August 7th 2005. Here’s my story….
About 2 1/2 years ago I had my kids taken from me because I was hooked on meth.
Well I quit and got them back. I have been clean for 2 years now but I have
gained 70 plus pounds since stopping the devils drug. I need to have as much
motivation to lose weight as I did when I quit doing drugs. I hope I did not
offend anyone here. Since then I have tried every diet in the book. You name it
I have tried it. So now I am hopeing to just eat healthy and get healthy. So I
need some support. THX, Carri
