not a cook

Hello. I just read a copy of South Beach and am starting in a couple
days. I was looking at the recipes for phase 1 and was a little
shocked to see that they are wayyyyy out of my cooking range. The
most gourmet thing I cook is tacos. Plus, I am not used to having to
go out and buy so much for just one meal (very expensive). Does
anyone have any suggestions for me? I want to follow phase 1 as it is
outlined in the book, but I don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen
or all my limited money either.

Oh, my goal is to lose 30 pounds.
