Now for the help Portion…. I took my 9 year old daughter to the doctor yesterday in the last 8 months she has gained 30lbs. The doctor is very concerned. DD is short like her mama and built just like me. She is not a couch potato. She is in cheer, she skates, rides her bike and can’t sit still for more then 5 minutes.
She and I talked yesterday and to be truthful she doesn’t get the whole diet thing. So I told her we would go on a diet for 2 weeks then we would just eat healthier after that. She thought that would be fun (little does she know). But with her being nine I don’t want to harp on you can’t eat this and you can’t have that because then she will just sneak food when she is out. I was thinking of trying to just keep it positive and concentrate on eating healthy instead of a diet. Any suggestions???

Nondairy fat-free creamer

Thursday, April 5th, 2007

Does anyone know if nondairy creamer is allowed in Phase 1? I am
lactose intolerant and can’t handle fat-free half & half.

wasabi “peas”

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007

Does anyone know how these are prepared and any nutritional info on
them? I buy mine at a small Italian grocery and they don’t have any
nutritional info on their bulk items and the owners aren’t much help.
I believe they are actually soybeans coated in a wasabi powder (not
peas) I have no idea if they are roasted or fried, but I love em! Any
info about them would be great…
Thanks!

There are lots of GI food list out there. If you have a favorite, I’d like to have it.
Here are a couple I’ve come across.
